COZYCRAFT NETWORK RULES

Welcome to CozyCraft. These rules exist to keep the network fair, friendly, and safe for everyone. By playing on any CozyCraft server or in our Discord, you agree to follow them.

BEFORE YOU PLAY

• Ignorance of a rule does not excuse breaking it. Read this page and check back when it updates.

• Staff enforce the spirit of the rules, not just the wording. Hunting for loopholes is a violation.

• Punishments range from warnings to permanent network bans. Staff can act on anything that damages the community, even if it is not listed here.

• These rules apply everywhere CozyCraft operates: in game, on the forums, and in Discord.

• You must be at least 13 years old to play, in line with Minecraft and Discord requirements.

1. RESPECT AND COMMUNITY CONDUCT

• Treat everyone with kindness. Harassment, bullying, and targeted hostility are not allowed.

• If someone is bothering you, use /ignore and open a report. Do not retaliate.

• Respect a player's choice to block or ignore you. Do not work around it to keep contacting them.

• Settle disputes calmly. If you cannot, bring it to staff rather than starting drama in public chat.

2. COMMUNICATION AND CHAT

• Public chat must be in English so staff can moderate it. Other languages are welcome in private messages.

• No hate speech, racism, slurs, threats, or sexual content. This covers usernames, skins, builds, signs, item names, and anything else players can see.

• Do not discuss self-harm, politics, drugs, or abuse in public chat. Save those conversations for private messages with willing participants.

• No spam: avoid excessive caps, repeated messages, gibberish, or hard-to-read text.

• You can advertise your own shop, event, or build once per 30 minutes per location. Advertising other servers, websites, or streams is banned.

3. FAIR PLAY

• No hacks or cheats. X-ray, kill aura, fly, freecam, botting, and similar tools are banned.

• Mods like Fullbright, mini-maps, Lunar Client, and performance mods are allowed. Anything that reveals hidden terrain or gives an unfair advantage is banned.

• No automation. Auto-clickers, botting, and key-weighting devices are not allowed.

• Manual and AFK farms are permitted if they require actual player input. Fishing machines are banned.

• Litematica's Easy-Place is allowed for building, but you must place each block yourself. Do not use it to automate work.

• Find an exploit? Report it and you may be rewarded depending on severity. Abusing an exploit gets you punished.

4. PVP 

• PvP must be consensual. Both players agree to the fight and any rules for it beforehand.

• Marked PvP zones are an exception: entering one is consent to fight.

• Do not lure players into PvP zones, and never attack anyone in safe areas like spawn.

5. LAND, BUILDING, AND GRIEFING

• Griefing means damaging or taking another player's property, on claimed or unclaimed land. It is not allowed anywhere except the Resource World.

• In the Resource World (/wild), claims are disabled. Anything left there is considered abandoned and may be taken or changed by anyone. Destructive harvesting is only allowed here.

• Do not build or claim within 100 blocks of another player's claim without their permission.

• Respect claims and leave when asked. Mass destruction of the map counts as griefing.

• You may request removal of an inactive claim after 3 weeks, with a valid reason.

• Lava casting is not allowed. Do not dump unwanted items into other players' inventories, especially during crate rolls and events.

6. MAP ART AND SCHEMATICS

• You may use schematics for map art and builds.

• All map art must be claimed. Unclaimed builds are treated as griefing and will be removed.

• Do not resell another creator's work without permission.

• Removing a build costs 10,000 to 20,000 Cozy dollars depending on location.

7. ECONOMY, SHOPS, AND TRADING

• No scamming. Misrepresenting an item or breaking an agreed trade is a punishable offense.

• No real-world trading. Buying or selling in-game items, money, or accounts for real currency is banned. Trading for digital goods like skins or resource packs is fine as long as it is fair.

• Do not pay for shop ratings or use alt accounts to inflate them.

• Do not set up shops or auctions near another player's shop without permission, and do not create troll or pointless shops and auctions.

• Do not modify Cozy Items. If you change one by accident, contact support for a replacement 

Player Auctions

• Announce an auction at least 5 minutes before it starts, and do not overlap it with other events.

• Auctions last up to 10 minutes and must be held at least 30 minutes apart.

• Fake bidding, trolling, and chat spam during auctions are punishable. 

Loans

• Loans are entirely at the lender's risk. Borrowers may not repay, and staff cannot recover items.

• Ask for collateral, stay in contact, and avoid large or predatory loans.

 8. ACCOUNTS AND ALTS

• You may use alt accounts, but only two of your accounts can be online at the same time.

• Each account may vote once per day. Do not use alts to farm votes, quests, jobs, claim blocks, or any other benefit.

• Impersonating another player, including through /nick, is not allowed.

• A VPN is allowed, but it may link your account to banned players. We recommend against using one.

9. STAFF AND REPORTING

• Report rule-breaking to staff through the proper channels rather than handling it yourself.

• Do not mini-mod. Reminding someone of a rule is fine; trying to police others, especially once staff are involved, is not.

• Do not ignore staff members during moderation. Refusing to engage makes their job harder and may result in a punishment.

• If you think a staff member is abusing their position, open a Management Ticket in the #support section of Discord. Do not air it in public chat. Doing so or being disrespectful about it may result in a warning or ban.

10. PUNISHMENTS AND APPEALS

• Punishments depend on the offense and your history, ranging from a warning to a permanent network ban.

• Do not evade punishments. Using alts, off-server signs and books, or any workaround to dodge a ban or mute will extend your penalty.

• Talking with friends off-server is fine, as long as it is not used to evade a punishment.

• To dispute a punishment, open a ticket in Discord. Appeals are handled there, not in public chat.

Rules may change at any time. The version on this page is what applies. When in doubt, ask a staff member.

Custom Rank Guidelines

• Your custom rank cannot include any offensive language.
• It cannot resemble or imitate other players' names or existing ranks, including other custom ranks.
• The prefix must be between 1 and 15 characters long (excluding color or formatting codes).
• The use of underline and obfuscated formatting is not allowed (e.g., &k and &n).

GETTING STARTED

How do I join?

CozyCraft is cross-play. Java players connect to the Java address, and Bedrock players (phone, console, Windows 10/11) connect through the Bedrock address. Both connect to the same network. Bedrock usernames appear in-game with a "BR_" prefix.

My custom items and textures look broken, purple, or missing. How do I fix it?

You need to be on Minecraft version 1.21.10. Our custom models and textures are built for that version. Older versions use a different model format and will display incorrectly. Newer versions are not supported yet. ViaVersion lets you connect on other versions, but it does not fix the textures. Set your client to 1.21.10 and accept the resource pack when prompted.

How do I get help?

Open a ticket in the #support channel on Discord. For anything involving staff conduct, use a Management Ticket. Do not air issues in public chat.

VOTING AND RANKS

How do I vote, and what do I get?

Run /vote in-game to open the vote menu, then click each link. Every vote gives you a vote key, Coins, XP, and cash. Your votes also count toward the vote party piñata. Voting is the fastest free way to earn rewards and rank up.

Why aren't my votes working?

Two common reasons. First, if you are on Bedrock, type your username exactly as it appears in-game, including the "BR_" prefix. Second, most vote sites allow one vote per IP address per day, so if two people share a household, the second person needs a VPN to vote separately.

Why didn't my vote rank update even though I have enough votes?

If you vote while offline, your rank may not update automatically. Vote while you're online so the promotion happens right away. If it still doesn't go through, open a ticket in #support and we'll update it manually.

How do ranks work?

There are two ladders. Free ranks (Wanderer up to Overlord) come from voting and playing. Each rank raises your limits for homes, shops, player warps, job slots, and auctions. Paid ranks (Mythic up to Celestial) are bought from the store and give you perks like /fly, /nick, and /ec. Run /ranks to see what each free rank requires.

How do I rank up for free?

Keep voting and playing. Use /ranks to see how many votes each rank needs, then /rankup when you qualify.

ECONOMY

What are Coins and how do I use them?

Coins are a separate currency from in-game money. You earn them by voting and completing dungeons. Spend them in /coinshop on the Cozy Crate, cosmetics like chat color, and more.

How do I make money?

Join jobs with /jobs browse and get paid for tasks like mining and farming. Create a chest shop to sell to other players, list items in the auction house with /ah, or open a player warp to bring buyers to your shop.

I bought a rank or item but did not get it. What do I do?

Purchases can take a few minutes to process. If it still hasn't arrived, open a ticket in #support with your order details and we'll sort it out. Note that store purchases (real money) and /coinshop purchases (in-game Coins) are separate systems.

CRATES AND DUNGEONS

How do crates work?

Run /crates to visit the crate hall. Use keys on the matching crate to open it. The Cozy Crate is unlocked through /coinshop, and vote keys come from voting.

How do dungeons work?

Run /dungeons to open the dungeon menu. There are three: Cave, Nether, and Sculk. Cave costs money to enter and the Nether and Sculk dungeons cost 100 Coins. You keep your inventory on death and have several lives per run. Some rooms have locked chests that need a key found inside that same run.

I lost an item or dungeon key when I died. Is that normal?

Inside dungeons you keep your inventory on death, so your gear and any keys stay with you. If you ever lose something to a bug, open a ticket in #support.

LAND AND WORLDS

How do I claim land?

Claims use a golden shovel. Right-click two corners to claim an area, then use /trust to let friends build, /containertrust for chests only, and /untrust to remove access. You earn more claim blocks the longer you play. Claims are disabled in the Resource World.

Will the server map ever reset?

The Overworld, Nether, and End will never be reset. If a world generation update releases or the map gets crowded, we expand the world border instead. The Resource World is reset occasionally so resources stay fresh, and we always give advance notice on Discord.

What is the Resource World?

The Resource World is for gathering. Reach it with /wild. Claims are off there, harvest as much as you want, and it resets on a schedule. Anything you leave behind when it resets is gone, so bring your materials back to the main world.

How do teams work?

Run /teams to create or join a team. Teams share a bank, a team home, an ender chest, claimed chests, warps, and you can set allies together. Use /team for the full list of options.

STAFF AND RULES

How do I become staff?

Watch the #announcements channel for open positions. We hire members who are active, friendly, and mature. Your application is judged on how well you show those traits.

How do I report a player or appeal a punishment?

Open a ticket in #support. Reports and ban appeals are both handled there, with evidence where possible. Do not call players out or argue punishments in public chat.

I accidentally modified a Cozy Item. Can I get it back?

Cozy Items are not meant to be modified. If you change one by accident, open a ticket in #support and we will replace it.

DUNGEONS

Dungeons are instanced PvE challenges you run solo or with a small party. Each one drops you into a sealed instance full of custom mobs and bosses, and clearing it rewards Dungeon Coins. Open the dungeon menu with /dungeons and pick one.

Dungeon content is still being tuned, so balancing and rewards will change over time. Watch the Discord patch notes for updates.

THE DUNGEONS

Cave Dungeon

Buried beneath the dunes, the Cave Dungeon hides sunken chambers, traps, and ancient guardians. A good first dungeon to learn the ropes.

Difficulty: Easy

Entry: $5,000

Nether Dungeon

Beyond the crimson gate the Nether burns: a maze of fortress, fang, and flame. Outlast the legions of the deep and seize what the underworld guards.

Difficulty: Hard

Entry: 100 Coins

Sculk Dungeon

Deep below the overworld the sculk has taken root, draining the light and listening for every step. Silence the shriekers and face the Echo Enshrouder for its spoils.

Coins are the currency you earn from voting and dungeons. Spend them in /coinshop. The Cave Dungeon costs regular in-game money instead.

HOW A RUN WORKS

Open /dungeons and click a dungeon to pay the entry cost and start. The run begins the moment you load in.

You keep your inventory when you die, and you have 5 lives per run. Lose all 5 and you drop into spectator mode for the rest of the run. Defeating dungeon mobs and bosses drops Dungeon Coins, your reward for clearing rooms.

To run with friends, build a dungeon party first (see Commands below), then everyone readies up before the leader starts. Parties are separate from the normal teleport party system.

TIPS

These are combat dungeons, so come prepared:

Bring strong armor and weapons. The Hard dungeons hit fast and the bosses hit harder.

Pack food and potions, including golden apples, and pre-apply buffs before you start.

Carry a mix of melee and ranged. Area-of-effect weapons clear packs of minions quickly.

With a party, have one player kite the dangerous enemies while the others focus damage.

Stay in voice chat so the party can call out boss mechanics.

Daily server restarts end any active run, so do not start one right before a scheduled restart.

RULES

Do not teleport to a player who is inside a dungeon.

Do not exploit or abuse bugs. Report them in #support instead.

Do not use alt accounts to run dungeons, pad a party, or dodge limits.

Cheating, outside help, or any unfair advantage is not allowed.
